  1. I'm surprised that they are still updating this. Are these the same people that are working on New Stalker? I hope they add a lot of quests in this updated Lost Alpha. This was an amazing mod.
  2. I'm still upset that the last patch has a lesser quality world detail. Prior to the last patch the game looked so much better.....and loaded quicker too.
  3. What this game engine truly needs is for someone to crack it open and make it a true full 64bit. That would be the best patch this old game would ever receive.
  4. Those screenshots do have atmosphere. That is crucial to this game. I don't care if it does not look like Cyberpunk realism. What matters most for me is atmosphere and game play. Hopefully the game play will be better than these screenshots.
  5. A lot of people here do not seem to recommend doing this but, try removing some unwanted add ons and see if it helps. Certain add on removal will require to start a new game though. I am down to 265 add ons with a few I put in myself. It has helped with load times but not by a lot though. This latest patch certainly had a big affect with load times.
  6. Yeah, that is unfortunate for many Stalker fans that can not afford good upgrades. It's going to be interesting to see how all this turns out when Stalker 2 arrives. I myself, am waiting for Stalker 2 to come out to do my upgrade. I certainly need it. I'm still intel 6700k =(
  7. Ever since they released their latest patch, the load times have increased for me too. It also depends on your system. If you are loading from a older HDD or a M.2 SSD does make a difference.
  8. I am noticing an issue with the armor upgrades. It seems that the upgrades are not reflecting at the proper percentages as they should. Example : I just tried this on four different types of heavy armour. The ARMOR CLASS upgrades has no affect whatsoever. It is pointless to even purcahse ARMOR CLASS upgrades as you gain no benefit as you would be better off picking the other option. Also, CHEMICAL RESISTANCE also takes a big hit from what you should gain. I also tried this on other Heavy Armors. The example above shows that I upgraded the ARMOR CLASS on 3 upgrades at 5% each which should total a 15% boost but gives nothing. The Chemical Resistance I have chosen two upgrades. One with 10% while the other was at 5%, both adding to 15% but only shows I gained 2% after the upgrades. BURN Resistance I should be at 11% but I am only at 7%. Psychic Resistance I should be at 25% but I am only at 17%. Chemical Resistance I should be at 16% but I am only at 3% You can try this experiment with yourself by adding two of the same armors and just upgrade one of them. Then switch between the upgraded and non-upgraded and view here to see the ARMOR CLASS does not change When you toggle between the two, you will see no change in the ARMOR CLASS bullet protection. If you add all the percentages together, I should have gained a total of 70% on my stats, but I actually only gained a total of 22%. This is a VERY BIG difference in percentage loss. You grind hard and pay a lot for the upgrades but don't get any benefits. I do not even know if Stamina Boost has any true affect. The weight and artifact container gains are correct. It is not like if you pick 5kg gain but only get 4kg. Or you choose 2 artifact slots but only get one. As it is now, it is a waste to upgrade the ARMOR and CHEMICAL RESISTANCE as they have little to no affect to those stats. The only benefit now if you should not choose the ARMOR upgrades is that you will not gain the weight.
  9. I know there have been backpack add ons that provided upgrades to the backpacks. That would be a cool feature to add to this. I have to say that I really like all the quality of life features to the handling of items in stashes and your backpacks. That is a tremendous plus to this overall mod.
  10. Just curious....will the entire game have lip sync with the Ukraine voices as well? Some videos are in English sync while other are in Ukraine sync.
  11. I had the same problem. What I did was, after I killed everyone else I went to godlike mode and killed him with a knife and worked. It was a weird crash.
  12. This is a work of art and is one off my anticipated mods along with New Stalker. So many great mods are expected to come out....but with Stalker 2 on the horizon, it maybe difficult to invest time into these I hope I will have the interest to play all these when Stalker 2 arrives.
  13. My biggest concern is modding. Someone have mentioned that we might only get limited modding options. This can be true if mods are expected to work at cross platform. I hope they will separate PC mods from Xbox. Fans need to have access to the fullest source of materials to make this game work like our beloved trilogies. Limiting mods will certainly hurt this game in the long run. I like DLC and would support and purchase anything that comes for this game. However, DLC has a tendency to break mods and that can be a problem.
  14. I still play Unreal Tournament 2004 to this day. It was built on the UE2.0 which Epic Games provided all the tools and the tutorials on a separate cd at the time. We were able to modify every aspect of the game. People even made total conversion mods with UE2.0. It was a blast for modding at the time along with Quake. I do remember GSC mentioning at one time they would provide us with the editing tools for their game. Whether they give it to us at release date or at a later time.....we will see. How deep will we be able to get into the game...I hope deep enough to get access into the scripts and configs. If they do not open all the doors to modify their game, it would hurt their sales a little bit. I remember reading people were buying SoC just for the mods. The damn cursed Xbox may be the limit to how much we can tweak the PC version. That is what I fear, because I really would like to see Stalker 2 fully modded.
  15. How do you people feel that when Stalker 2 arrives that maybe 80% of the fans may turn away from the old Xray mods? I am highly anticipating the arrival for New Stalker and Shadow of Chernobyl 2.0 but with Stalker 2 soon to arrive, it may be hard for me to continue to play these mods. I'll see......
  16. That bitch interviewer was asking the most stupidest questions. Trying to ask how many ending there are.......FUCKING STUPID CUNT!!!!!
  17. Can you post this memo for me, please? I can not translate discord for some reason.
  18. You may want to try to remove some of the addons that you do not care for. For me, I never cared for food animations. I do not care to see my legs when walking. How often do you stare at your feet? I don't care for melee or hand guns. Hide out furniture I think is silly. There are quite a bit of things that are novelties that I don't care for. Even remove some of the gun animations you know you never use. Start a new game when removing a lot of addons though. You will need to experiment. Certain things I had to turn back on because of crashes. I am already down to 270 addons with 2 I had included myself. I have an I7 6700K with a 3070 and it performs quite good for me. Not the best, but decent FPS. Good Luck!
  19. They have certainly showed us so much this past month that my excitement for this have grown exponentially. The 60Km world size is going to be amazing to explore. I truly hope this becomes a big hit for GSC....it will be much deserved. I hope that many of us here, through all our gripes and complaints will see past what we may dislike and look at all the positives....it will feel like Stalker. I can not wait to see what the mods will do to enhance this massive world.
  20. I understand that a lot of people are feeling underwhelmed by the look of this game. I understand that it looks like a 2017 game. However, we do need to understand that they are also not Microsoft, Ubisoft or even Epic games....they are a small funded studio in comparison to the top 50 game studios out there. My big concern is the combat and gameplay. I will reserve my judgement until I play this. I remember when this was first announced that it was designed on an Unreal engine and will also be released on the Xbox. I was very upset with these at first. I just have to get over that and move on with acceptance. We have no choice. I know this game will have a cinematic console feel, however...it is still Stalker. My biggest excitement are going to be the mods. I know a lot of people will want to start making all sorts of add ons when they get access to its editor. This is where all the magic will shine for Stalker2. I can't wait to see Boomsticks and Sharpsticks, Expedition or even have some wild Artifact mods. This could have the potential to shift mostly everyone away from the old Xray to a more stable UE5. We all shall see......
  21. Unfortunately Chrome does not translate Discord for me very well.
