This is what I am hoping for, that the game will pick up after a few major fixes down the road.
In the beginning, I was very much against the use of the UE5 as the foundation to this game. I knew this would give it a whole new, modern console feel to it. Just before release, my excitement ran high to hear and see all the positive reviews on this from many of you fans here. Instead, it seems to be all the opposite. I now see they really should have went with an upgraded Xray of some sort.
I have been a Street Fighter fan all my life. When Street Fighter 5 came out years ago, they used UE4 as the foundation. It had a very poor start and bad reception by many of us fans. Capcom learned their lesson and went with their proprietary REngine which was successful for many other games that they had put out. Street Fighter 6 launch has been very successful and has been their best selling fighting game to date.
Its a shame that game designers do not learn from this.
I'm sure down the road they will do some major changes to bring this game back into the spotlight.
Mods is also another big savior for this and I hope we have full access to all the tools and materials to making this a great game for everyone. Mods also encourage sales too. Friends of mine have purchased certain games just to play their mods.
